Stem Cells

Our Treatments

Stem cells

Stem cell therapy for hair loss is a regenerative treatment that aims to stimulate hair growth and improve hair density using the potential of stem cells. Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that have the ability to differentiate into various cell types and can renew themselves through cell division. In hair loss treatment, stem cells are believed to promote hair growth by stimulating dormant hair follicles, prolonging the anagen (growth) phase of the hair cycle, and improving the overall health of the scalp.

Stem Cell Source

Stem cells used in hair loss treatment can be derived from different sources, including:

  • Adipose tissue (fat) stem cells: Extracted from the patient’s own fat tissue through liposuction.
  • Bone marrow stem cells: Obtained from the patient’s bone marrow through a minimally invasive procedure.
  • Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) containing stem cells: PRP is obtained from the patient’s blood and enriched with platelets, which contain growth factors that can stimulate stem cell activity.
  • Umbilical cord blood stem cells: Stem cells harvested from umbilical cord blood, which are rich in growth factors and have regenerative potential.

Stem Cell Activation

Once the stem cells are harvested or obtained, they may be processed and activated in a laboratory to enhance their regenerative properties. This may involve isolation, concentration, and sometimes culturing of the stem cells to increase their numbers and potency.

Application

The activated stem cells are then applied to the scalp through injections or topical application. In some cases, stem cell therapy may be combined with other hair loss treatments, such as PRP injections, microneedling, or low-level laser therapy, to optimize results.

Stimulation of Hair Growth

The stem cells work by promoting the proliferation of hair follicle cells, increasing blood flow to the scalp, and reducing inflammation, which collectively stimulate hair growth, strengthen existing hair follicles, and improve hair density.

Results and Maintenance

Results from stem cell therapy for hair loss may vary depending on factors such as the underlying cause of hair loss, the severity of the condition, and individual response to treatment. Multiple treatment sessions may be required to achieve noticeable improvements, and maintenance treatments may be recommended to sustain results over time.
